Warranty

General

With over 35 years of experience in the jewellery industry, we take great care in crafting our jewellery. All our products are covered by the statutory legal conformity warranty.

This means that a piece of jewellery must meet what a consumer may reasonably expect, taking into account:

  • the type of jewellery,
  • the materials used,
  • whether the item is personalised,
  • and normal use and maintenance.

Expectations may vary depending on the material and finish.

Materials, wear and expectations

No jewellery is scratch-free

Materials such as silver, stainless steel, plated jewellery and stainless steel with IP coating are not scratch-resistant.

Scratches and signs of wear may occur as a result of normal use, including daily wear, friction or contact with hard surfaces.

Scratches and signs of wear are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered by the warranty.

Silver and stainless steel (metal colour)

Silver jewellery and stainless steel jewellery in their natural metal colour are generally colour-stable, provided they are used and maintained correctly.

  • Minor scratches caused by normal use may occur and are not covered by the warranty.
  • Discolouration that is not caused by use, wear or insufficient maintenance may, where applicable, be covered by the warranty.

Plated jewellery

Plated jewellery consists of a nickel-free metal alloy core, finished with a thin decorative coating that provides a gold-coloured appearance.

  • This coating is sensitive to wear and scratching.
  • With proper care, the colour will generally remain attractive for a long time.
  • Wear, fading or scratches resulting from normal use, friction, skin contact or failure to follow care instructions are considered normal wear and tear and are not covered by the warranty.

Stainless steel with IP coating

Stainless steel with IP coating is finished with a durable coating that gives the jewellery a black, gold or rose-gold appearance. Although durable, this coating is not scratch-proof.

  • With proper care, the colour is generally retained over time.
  • Scratches, wear or fading caused by normal use, external influences or insufficient maintenance are not covered by the warranty.

Personalised and made-to-order jewellery

Many of our jewellery items are personalised or made to order, for example through engraving (names, dates, texts, symbols or images).

  • Personalised jewellery is produced in accordance with the order details and preview approved by the customer.
  • Minor variations in the position, depth or appearance of the engraving are inherent to handcrafted work and do not constitute a defect.
  • The warranty does not cover the content of the personalisation (such as spelling errors, incorrect dates or chosen symbols) if it corresponds to the approved order.

Once production has started, a personalised item can no longer be modified or cancelled, except in the event of a proven manufacturing or material defect.

Statutory warranty

All products are covered by a warranty against defects resulting from manufacturing or material faults.
The statutory warranty period is 24 months, calculated from the date of the original invoice, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • accidents or impacts,
  • negligence,
  • improper or incorrect use,
  • normal wear and tear (such as scratches),
  • failure to follow care instructions,
  • personal choices regarding customisation.

If a defect becomes apparent more than six months after delivery, the consumer may be required to prove that the product was non-conforming at the time of delivery.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

How to request warranty service

To submit a warranty request, please complete the return form and include clear photographs of the jewellery so that we can assess whether the item is eligible for warranty coverage.

We will contact you as soon as possible after receiving your request.
